Quinn's Birthday Party is UNDER CONSTRUCTION

My little boy is obsessed with trucks (he calls them truck-o's), so i decided to throw him a Construction Party.

Yellow, orange, black, and white were the base colors.

I renamed the party foods to match the theme.
Chocolate balls were 'Rocks',
mango puddings were 'Hard Hats',
wafer rolls were 'Logs',
and M&M's as 'Pebbles'.

I filled (or half-filled) the ceiling with orange and black balloons hung upside down.

There was a separate table for the party drinks and I labeled it
'Fueling Station'. The drinks, of course, were construction-related.
Orange juice was 'Render Sauce',
Iced tea was 'Machine Oil',
and water, 'Paint Thinner'.

Other construction party foods were:
'Spare Parts' - Macaroni Salad
'Load of Dirt' - Brownies
'Boulders' - Chocolate-dipped Mallows
'Spare Tires' - Doughnuts

Cute construction cake by Ava's Cake.

Isn't this clever? 'Beware of falling debris' sign beside the pinata.

CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE!

My Little Boy is Not So Little Anymore

Quinn,

Today,
you are officially leaving the days of being a baby
and entering the days of being a little boy.
It's been only two years since you came into my life
but it feels like I never lived a single day without you.

You amaze, not only me,
but everyone around you everyday.
It's kinda sad to me seeing you growing up so fast.
It scares me that you're learning about the world faster than I expect.

Mommy and daddy are so proud of you.
You are more than what we prayed for.
Thank you for being our son.
We can't thank God enough for you.

I love you more than anything in this world combined.

Happy Birthday Quinn!

Love,
Mommy
